1 Blessed is the man
4 The ungodly are not so,
6 For the Lord knows the way of the righteous,
A man may, “walk, stand, or sit,” for a while in the house of Satan, the world, or his own fleshly desires and become profitable for a season. He may act with malice, deceit, and all matters of evil and find “satisfaction.” It is a sad but true fact that the wicked are many. Though they may be many God says of them all, “they shall perish.” They have no roots in everlasting love, joy, and peace. They are here today and gone tomorrow; a wisp along the long road of eternity.
While the evil man prospers for a time, the righteous have roots down deep into eternal life. They will prosper only because they are connected to the eternally prosperous God. The righteous bear fruit as they reside next to the eternal river of God that flows from His throne. Ever drinking, ever producing, and ever living due to the life of God almighty flowing through their veins. Do you plant yourself next to His eternally flowing river? Are you bringing in the nutrients from his luscious and rich soil? Turn your heart toward God and His marvelous works today. Worry not about tomorrow. Meditate on His words now. Delight in His words, “The LORD knows the way of the righteous.” He knows your ways. He knows who you are. He has redeemed you and brought you near. Sit with Him and look at Him. This is eternal life.
