February Events:

We are excited to offer a time of growing in congregational worship. PLease join us February 10th (at 6:30pm) at the Church building for a night of prophetic worship. This night's focus will be to grow in listening to hear God's voice and then responding through the reading of His scripture, prayer, singing songs, sharing Words God gives us for the congregation, waiting on Him, and anything else God is speaking to us.It will a fun, laid-back, no-pressure night to grow with your Parkland Foursquare family. Looking Ahead:

City Quake: April 7th-10th, 2021

City Quake is a three and a half-day event (similar to Power and Love) that will propel you to become who Jesus created you to be! As Christians, we are to model Jesus and make Him known everywhere we go. However, we often settle for much less.

City Quake will motivate and activate you to “live out” what you believe. Join Dan Mohler, Dave Wagner and Tom Ruotolo, for this life-changing event. Come and receive the confidence to walk-in signs, wonders, and miracles — energized by the love of Jesus — every day!

21 Days of Prayer and Fasting:

President Randy Remington has invited the Foursquare Church to join him in 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting to unite us around the throne. We will be joining them starting January 1st lasting until January 21st. We will continue our 7:14 prayer times on Zoom during the 21 days. President Randy Remington set the theme as "All Things New" and I think there is no better focus for this time of prayer and fasting. The year 2020 has changed us in many, many ways - good and bad. As we look to this new season with anticipation, let us set our focus on what God wants to bring anew. I encourage you all to join in some way for our time of prayer and fasting. Here are a few examples of how you can fast:

Full Fast (Abstain from all food)
Daniel Fast (abstain from animal products, processed foods, solid fats, caffeine, sugar, alcohol)
Liquids only fast
Fast one meal a day

Prayer and Fasting:

Join us for our monthly fast December 7th-9th. There will be Zoom prayer at both 7:14 am and 7:14 pm each day of the fast. You can join here: link.parklandfoursquare.com/zoom

All Things Christmas:

We are looking forward to our Christmas Service! Come dressed for pictures and be sure to invite your friends and family. Christmas is a great time to introduce people to Jesus!

Our Christmas offering this year will be going towards Adopt-A-Pastor. COVID has hit this world hard, and communities around the world are going hungry. We are patterning with Foursquare Disaster Relief this year. Any money that comes in December 25th-27th will go towards Adopt-A-Pastor. $50 feeds a pastor, $1000 feeds a church, and $2500 feeds a community. Be sure to pray and ask the Lord how much he wants you to give.

We are also getting the kids involved! There will be fun activities for the kids to do for the 12 days leading up to Christmas, including making a collection tin. We want to get them thinking and praying about what God wants them to personally give this year. We will pass these packets out to you at church. Family Church

Hi Parkland Foursquare Families!

As all of you know, COVID and transitioning locations have brought many changes to life, including our church. I wanted to take a minute to communicate what kids ministry will look like in the immediate future, and the long term will be planned as we see what we are even working with between COVID and a kid's ministry team. Listen up! There’ll be lots of details below.

First off, kids have been and always will be a priority of our church. Families are at its core-including our own family of sweet little girls!

I am actually super excited about this next season!! Why?! I am excited about simplicity! I think our church is going to grow as a family and support system, with each other, and the community. It feels kind of pioneer or prairie-like, in my mind. I think our kids are going to actually grow deeper in love with Jesus while being present at the “grown-up” service. I think they will soak in tidbits they hear and see during the service, and maybe, like Jesus, able to teach adults at an adolescent age!! I think they will feel the presence of God and witness miracles. We need kids in this world who are radically committed and aware of the truth and in love with their King! That’s who world changers are!

So for now, the fun times for kids will be happening in pews, quietly, so we all can engage as much as possible. But seriously, it can still be fun! So keep reading:

Before service-there will be a kids check-in area, where kids 12 and under, can grab their tote which the church will keep each week. This tote will be a few things for kids to keep their hands and minds quietly busy. We will have some items that will stay in their personalized tote. Also, we will have a kids activity check out system. We will have random sensory items, creative toys, or brain teaser type things for kids to “check out” for that night, and return to our library.

For Wednesday 11/7/20 Prayer and Fasting – Sacrifice

Daily PBJ Reading (1 Samuel 30, 1 Samuel 31, Acts 16:26-40)

Paul had been miraculously freed from jail before (Acts 5:19) and he knew of Peter being freed (Acts 12:7) so he could have easily assumed God was giving him an opportunity to go free. Instead, he chose to remain in prison resulting in the jailer and his family becoming followers of Christ.

Sometimes God asks us to make sacrifices and take a difficult path in life so that others will be saved.

For Tuesday 10/6/20 Prayer and Fasting – Listen

Daily PBJ Reading (1 Samuel 28, 1 Samuel 29, Acts 16:1-25)

Paul’s ministry was often marked by unexpected diversions. In today’s reading, he is directed through a God-given dream.

God speaks to us in many ways including His written Word, through dreams and visions, through wise council, and sometimes by a whisper. We need to be flexible and open to quickly respond to what He is telling us.

For Monday 10/5/20 Prayer and Fasting – Power of Testimony

Daily PBJ Reading (Psalms 35, Psalms 63, John 15:18-27)

As part of the final lessons Christ is giving to His disciples, He explains to them that the Holy Spirit would come to help them to testify about the message of Christ.

The Holy spirit works through us to proclaim the message. The disciples (and we also) need to share the testimony of what God has done in our lives. In this, there is power to overcome the enemy.

For Wednesday 9/9/20 Prayer and Fasting – Victory

Daily PBJ Reading (I Samuel 6, I Samuel 6, Hebrews 9:5)

After decades of sin, the nation of Israel finally turned back to God and trusted Him for deliverance. They came together to fast and pray. They asked for forgiveness from God. In response, God brought about a great victory against the Philistines.

1 Samuel 7:6,10 (NIV)
⁶ When they had assembled at Mizpah, they drew water and poured it out before the LORD. On that day they fasted and there they confessed, "We have sinned against the LORD." And Samuel was leader of Israel at Mizpah.

¹⁰ While Samuel was sacrificing the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to engage Israel in battle. But that day the LORD thundered with loud thunder against the Philistines and threw them into such a panic that they were routed before the Israelites.

As we put our faith in God and diligently seek Him, He hears us and He brings the victory.

Hebrews 11:6 (NIV)
⁶ And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Note that, even though God frightened the Philistines with His thunder, the Israelites still went out and fought them. Today, God wants us to join Him and share in the joy of the victory. Any time God is glorified, the whole church (Body of Christ) should rejoice.

Join us for our first monthly fast. We will be doing this every month on the first Monday-Wednesday.

We will be meeting on zoom at 7:14AM and 7:14PM during this fast. Join the Zoom prayer meeting here: https://us04web.zoom.us/j/503123139

We seek a move of God over this city and ask that the Spirit of God move through His people to transform this city. Please prepare for this time and ask God how you can be a part of this. There will also be a prayer walk on Wednesday 7/9 at 10am near PLU.

September 12th from 9am-4pm will be the church wide yard sale! All proceeds will go to help send kids to camp summer of 2021. We see camp as a key way to disciple our Parkland youth. Many campers receive Jesus and get baptized with the Spirit at camp! They also have a ton of fun, make friends and almost always beg to come back the next year. The average family from Parkland would love to send their kid to camp but would have a lot of difficulty coming up with the amount of money needed. We at Parkland Foursquare would like to offer scholarships to make it more possible for families to send their kids to camp.
