Psalm 67
Hillary Donohoue
February 5, 2016

1 May God be gracious to us and bless us
and make his face to shine upon us, Selah

that your way may be known on earth,
your saving power among all nations.

Let the peoples praise you, O God;
let all the peoples praise you!

Let the nations be glad and sing for joy,
for you judge the peoples with equity
and guide the nations upon earth. Selah

Let the peoples praise you, O God;
let all the peoples praise you!

The earth has yielded its increase;

God, our God, shall bless us.

God shall bless us;
let all the ends of the earth fear him!

This Psalm, as almost every Psalm, just makes you think it, feel it, and pray it for the days we are living out (and wondering while watching, ‘is this seriously happening?’)
Just in the first 2 verses I find myself crying out in my spirit for God to be gracious to us…definitely merciful as well, but also just filling us with His grace and for His presence to exude from within us…just illuminating His light and truth in each environment we find ourselves, and to each person we interact with.
That’s what it’s going to take—to see salvation among all the nations—it’s going to take a massive outpouring of His grace and presence.  It’s not going to take us being more relevant, tolerant, timid, hide it under a bushel, PC, overthinking this, that, or anything.  It’s just going to take His grace filling us and propelling us, His presence shining upon us, us walking out and making His ways known by our words and our actions, and salvation will result.
More than ever, I personally am longing to see ‘the people’s praise’ Him, ‘the nations be glad and sing for joy’,  for the world to know that God ‘rules the peoples justly and guides the nations of the earth,’ and for ‘all the peoples (to) praise’ Him.  When that happens--when the world is turning to Him in worship and honor and in fear of Him--not only will the people be blessed with salvation and a right relationship with their Maker, but ‘the land will yield it’s harvest’—Things will just be better off! All the crazy natural disasters, bad weather that ruins crops, random illnesses found on produce, water running out, ‘climate change’, pollution, bees dying, not enough of this, too much of that, everything is falling apart…blah, blah, blah…Things in this world would be operating correctly if people were submitting to their King.  We blame this person, that party, this mindset…Bah! Anyway, I guess when it boils down to it, I am just starting to want to see revival because that’s the only hope.  Massive numbers of people turning to Jesus.  I just think it would be so amazing to se our people, our nation and other people and other nations dramatically turn around and the news be filled with revival.
God is good.  He is in charge—He reigns.  He is faithful and True.  He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.  He is Love.  He is our Soon and Coming King.  And I just desire for His Radiance and Truth to shine in our families, in Parkland and to the ends of the earth.
